Are you Team ‘sieve’ or Team ‘do not sieve’ your watermelon juice?

I like my watermelon juice both ways. Sometimes i sieve the juice and sometimes I don’t. For the kiddos I usually give them the sieved juice because that’s what they prefer. I guess it’s probably because the fiber rich watermelon juice though smooth it’s not as smooth and velvety creamy as our homemade mango juice. The benefits of the unsieved juice is the fact that it is fiber rich since everything is included so you get the full benefits of its fiber content. My mom in law totally loves this version.

Pro tip: if you intend to have the un-sieved watermelon juice, make sure you use the seedless watermelon variety.

Want to sieve your juice. This nut bag will be super helpful.

Some people like to add salt to their watermelon fruit while eating the flesh of the watermelon. I haven’t tried it but my cousin loves eating her watermelon with salt. I have also seen some watermelon juice recipes with salt added. If you are like my cousin who adds salt to her watermelon then feel Free to add a bit of salt to your juice after blending. A quarter teaspoon of salt will work for this recipe.

If you do add salt to your watermelon juice, please drop a comment so we can know if it went well.

Are you on a strict low carb diet?
