12 Everyday Habits that can Ruin a Woman’s Beauty and Health

7 out of 10 women have one habit that negatively affects their beauty, health and even shortens their lives! Every day we do the same “innocent” things and we don’t even realize how harmful they can be to our health. Using a towel to dry your face, leaving a razor in the shower and brushing your wet hair can ruin your good looks and well-being.

The aim of this article, is to help all women to remain young and perfect by exposing these 12 bad daily habits that can be obstacles to your beauty and health.

1. Using enamel all the time

If you can’t go one day without using enamel, you’re probably familiar with this problem. Dark enamels, especially those with cheaper brands, have powerful dyes that can stain your nails.

As a result, your nails will look sick yellow. To combat this, try to use less enamel in general or invest in better brands with high quality ingredients.

2. Using a towel to dry your face

It is normal to use a towel after wiping our faces, but it can work against our beauty. The towel is a good breeding ground for bacteria and microbes. Every time you use your towel more than once, you risk having acne.

Instead, you can use special facial cotton fabric or simply skip drying your face, as Korean women advise . Just apply products to damp skin and this will further moisturize your face.

3. Sleeping with a bra

Most ladies wears bra daily and they look harmless. Although the bra itself is not a problem, wearing it while sleeping can cause skin irritation and compress breast tissue.

It is also important to use one that is perfectly your size and is not too tight or too big. Alternatively, a soft bralette bra is great if you like to sleep in underwear.

4. Using dirty makeup brushes

Cleaning your makeup brushes may not be one of your priorities within the rush of routine, but you will be doing your health a huge good by turning it into a habit. By using dirty brushes, we are reapplying bacteria and germs to our faces over and over again and even potentially spreading them in our beauty products. At worst, it can lead to skin rashes or even infections.

5. Eating more than a teaspoon of salt every day

We get used to eating salty food and don’t even try to control its intake. We must not forget that salt is also present in large quantities in cheese, sausages and ready-made foods.

Reducing salt intake can help lower blood pressure. And the researchers say that women with lower blood pressure have less sagging skin.

You only need 2,300 milligrams of sodium a day, which is no more than a teaspoon.

6. Excessively plucking the hair on the eyebrows

Less is not always more, especially when it comes to your eyebrows. Well-shaped eyebrows can frame a beautiful face, but be careful how often you pull the hair out, as they will grow thinner and thinner.

Over the years, some hair may not grow back and you will end up with flawed eyebrows.

7. Leaving the blades to shave in the shower

It seems natural to let our blades shave where we mainly use them, but this is really a big mistake if you want to get the most out of your razor. By leaving it in a humid area, the blade will go blind faster and, the next time you use it, you will be more likely to have ingrown hair and irritation when shaving with a bad blade. Instead, dry and clean the blade after using it and store it outside the shower.

8. Sitting with your legs crossed

Since most of our time is spent sitting, it is important to have good posture and proper sitting position. Although crossing your legs may seem comfortable, it impairs healthy blood circulation in your legs.

Combined with tight clothes like skinny jeans or leggings, you will be putting yourself at risk of bad posture and increased blood pressure.

9. Sleeping with your hair up

Women with long hair will definitely understand the comfort of having their hair out of the way while sleeping. It is also great to avoid those painful knots in the morning.

Unfortunately, wearing hair stuck in the bed puts pressure on the scalp and weakens hair, which in turn can lead to hair loss. If knots and messy hair are a problem in the morning, try investing in a special brush to untangle.

10. Taking a hot bath

We all love a nice hot bath, especially after a long day at work. Although taking a hot shower every now and then to relax is perfectly OK, it is best to make sure that you do not make it a habit.

Hot water dries your skin and hair faster than warm or cold water. If a hot bath is essential, try to finish your bath with warm or cold water to close your pores.

11. Brushing your hair when it’s wet

It is natural to want to untangle your hair after washing it, but next time drop your comb and wait to dry. The pores of the scalp are usually open and enlarged after bathing, which means that any tug in the hair can damage them more easily.

Either finish your bath with a little cold water on your head, or dry your hair thoroughly before brushing it.

12. Forgetting to change your pillowcase

If you are suffering from unexplained skin problems, the answer may be closer than you think. Changing your pillowcase every 2 or 3 days will ensure that any sweat, oil, saliva and other bacteria are not transferred to your skin every night and cause rashes.

For people with acne-prone skin, it is recommended that you change the pillowcase every day.
