Have you tried tomato juice for your face?

Ladies, get in here!

Okay, I guess the guys can come too.

In the last 6 weeks, I dealt with a violent allergic reaction from sunburn (from exercising outdoors), experimenting with chemical sunblocks and then eventually getting a chemical peel done.

My face got angry!

I researched what was wrong and tried every suggestion. The face got angrier!

I had a very worrying case of cystic acne. Cystic acne’s are the worst. They are huge, itchy, painful and leave scars, especially if you try to pop them; as they are deep within the skin and you just end up bruising your skin, leaving wounds and scars.

I’ve always had extra oily skin but not really prone to acne. I use my normal salicylic acid based cleansers and toners for sensitive skin and I am good. But this time around, nothing worked!

I haven’t tried pantothenic acid (Vitamin B5), as I didn’t find it in the pharmacies around, but trust me, I tried every home remedy. From Aloe Vera, to Apple Cider Vinegar and everything else in-between.

Then while exercising one morning, I met Kenny Saint Best and she just took one look at me and said, just wash your face with tomatoes in the morning and night and nothing else. She told me not to worry if it lightened me a bit (as I am dark skinned), that my skin would even out eventually.

After reacting to everything else I had used, I wasn’t too enthusiastic to jump on something else. So, I researched and found tomato to be a great fruit. With Vitamins A, C, K and lycopene (a carotenoid and antioxidant, that decreases prostrate cancer risks – I did mention that the men should get in here).

Anyway, I couldn’t wait to buy fresh tomatoes!

My goodness. Just one wash!

One wash and that was it. Not only is it refreshing to eat your tomatoes raw, as you only need a slice of tomato to cleanse your skin, my face brightened at once. I couldn’t believe it!

Sister, if you want to bleach, you are in the wrong place. I’m talking to sisters who want to cleanse their skin of sunburn, brighten dull skin, close their pores and erase fine lines. Yes, tomato is for you.

Wash your face with mild soap to clean dirt and makeup, then just squeeze a slice of tomato over your face and leave on for 5 minutes. Wash off with warm water and this it! Tomatoes also have salicylic acid, do no need for toners after. Cheap and cheerful!

If you have acne scars like me, of course you have to be patient for them to fade over time, but hopefully, you will no longer have active acne.

Cystic acne is mostly hormonal, so lots of people have to also change their diet. More water, less dairy; more vegetables, less sugar.

A lot of bathrooms today are toxic with all the chemicals in skincare products. Less if definitely more.

Did you try tomatoes on your face?

Did it work for you?

Please share your experience.

Don’t forget to share this article. One in five acne sufferers are actually suicidal. You never know who this may help.

Love you.

Jay.
