It’s time to change your diet and switch up your cooking game to this recipe. Here’s Jambalaya rice, a new meal that should be added to your diet.
Quit making the regular meal every day by trying Jambalaya rice. It’s not only delicious, but it’s also nutritious and attractive.
Here’s how to make it.
1.1 tablespoon of olive/vegetable oil.
2.2 boneless and skinless chicken thighs, 2½cm in pieces
3.75g/2½oz smoked and sliced sausage
4.1 small onion, finely chopped
5.1 finely chopped garlic clove
6.1 thinly sliced red pepper
7.200g tin chopped tomatoes
8.½ tablespoon of cayenne pepper
9.150g of basmati rice
10.200ml of chicken stock
11.Freshly ground black pepper
Follow These Steps
Heat the oil in a medium saucepan with a tight-fitting lid and fry the chicken and sausage for 3 minutes.
Add the onion and celery, season well, and fry for 5 minutes, or until softened.
Add the garlic and pepper and cook for a further minute.
Add the tomatoes and cayenne and cook for 2 minutes, then add the rice and stir well.
Pour over the stock, bring to the boil, put the lid on, turn the heat down as low as it will go and cook for 12 minutes.
Turn off the heat and leave the rice to stand for 12 minutes.
Take off the lid, fluff up the rice and serve immediately, garnished with the parsley, if using.
